ARMED: ACTIVE READINESS MOVEMENT & ENVIRONMENTAL DEVELOPMENT

Armed Course Bottom
  • Training methodologies are plentiful, however principles are few. ARMED focuses on being able to not only correct and improve a human movement, but assist in the maintenance of a solid foundation which will change the way you not only function as a human being but more importantly as that of a military operator.
  • Injury and musculoskeletal strain can be as of a direct result of poor posture, joint restriction, muscular imbalances, poor soft tissue condition, poor sensorimotor skills or quite often a combination of several of the above resulting in a general movement fault.
  • However if we can reduce these common place dysfunctions, improve basic posture and biomechanics, and enhance the systems that control accuracy and efficiency of an individual’s movement, then it will have a considerable positive impact to all related physical training and conditioning, welfare benefits but more importantly it will keep a greater number of boots on the ground and allow an individual to permanently deliver to their optimal.
  • By installing a mechanism so that an individual can build upon a solid training foundation of movement principles, across common and uncommon movement patterns, under conditions such as load/fatigue/stress whilst maintaining a sound neuro-musculoskeletal system. This will help build a resilience to musculoskeletal injury ensure a robustness that will assist an individual to perform their job more efficiently and effectively for longer.

OUTCOMES OF ARMED:

1.) PERFORM AND UNDERSTAND THE USE OF ACTIVE MOBILITY AND DYNAMIC FLEXIBILITY EXERCISE IN 3 PLANES OF MOVEMENT, AND USE IT AS A SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TOOL FOR COMMON RESTRICTIONS AND DYSFUNCTIONS, ADDRESS THESE DYSFUNCTIONS ORGANICALLY WITH REPETITION, AND UTILISE IT AS BOTH A WARM-UP AND COOL-DOWN IN ORDER TO COLLECTIVELY MAINTAIN EFFECTIVE FUNCTION.

2.) PERFORM BASIC BODY CONDITIONING FORMS AND UNDERSTAND ITS APPLICATION IN MORE COMPLEX MOVEMENT PATTERNS.

3.) PERFORM FOUNDATIONAL CALISTHENIC MOVEMENTS AND APPLY THE SKILLS DIRECTLY INTO EVERYDAY MOVEMENT AND ROLE RELATED FUNCTIONS.

4.) PERFORM STRENGTH & CONDITIONING EXERCISES AND HAVE A SYSTEMATIC APPROACH TO INTEGRATED FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT BASED AROUND SUSPENSION TRAINING.
